Principal’s Thanks

When we started AMSEN in 2013, it was with a simple vision: to give children with neurodevelopmental and special needs a place where they could learn, grow, and feel valued. What began with 30 students has blossomed into a thriving community that’s changing lives. Each day, I have the privilege of watching our students gain confidence, make friends, and reach milestones that once seemed out of reach. Some have even represented Tanzania in the Special Olympics and joined the National Paralympics swimming team— achievements that fill all of us with pride.

These accomplishments wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated team, who pour their hearts into guiding our students through challenges and celebrating every step forward. It’s truly inspiring to see their commitment reflected in each student’s progress, from newfound independence to greater joy in learning and life.

As we look to the future, we’re thrilled to start the next chapter: building a new, fully equipped facility with a vocational center. This new space will allow us to offer even more support and skills training, helping our students to lead independent, fulfilling lives. The entire AMSEN family—students, staff, and parents—shares this dream and I am so grateful to have each of you alongside us.

This journey wouldn’t be possible without the support of the KSIJ Central Board of Education, our wonderful donors, our stakeholders and everyone who believes in our mission. Thank you for walking this path with us, for your generosity and for being part of our community. Together, we’re building a brighter, more inclusive future for our children and the generations to come.

Warm heartfelt thanks,
